LAKE Karrinyup Country Club was the host to the final WA Race Event for the year. West Australian golfers have been treated to some fantastic golf course venues this season and a strong field of 61 players experienced this quality golf course that each year hosts the Perth International - Australia’s richest professional golf tournament.
The Lake Karrinyup course gritted its teeth on the day. Roy Khoh of Kwinana Golf Club produced the best score of the day with a well fought 39 points. Roy’s win saw him take home the brand new Cobra Puma stand bag, the Race Series winner's medal and also gains him free entry into the WA state final to be held at Royal Fremantle GC.
Roy was also B-grade day’s winner and, more importantly, captured the WA OOM title with 375 points.
Roy is now the first player to qualify into Team WA at the National Final at Bonville Golf Resort in May. You can view the full Order of Merit standings here.
The day’s other grade winners were Ryan O’Hara, who took out A-grade with 34 points, and Tony Oehme, who took out C-grade with 38 points.
The par three 17 hosted the Golf Buddy Nearest To Pin and Shane McEachran was victorious with a lovely shot that was 420cm from the hole. Shane took home the brand new Golf Buddy VS4 GPS device for his approach.
The day’s other NTP on the 5th hole was taken out by Ryan Western hitting his approach to 350cm for the win.

The Cobra Puma Go Looong Challenge holes were the 7th for the men and 16th for the women. It was Richard O’Hara who took out long drive with his shot to 290m. In the ladies' division at was Jane Kim hitting her drive 183m. Well done to all.

Well done and thank you to all golfers who participated in the qualifying events in WA. Record fields and quality golf courses have ensured a successful series to date. We now look forward to the State Final to be played at Royal Fremantle Golf Club on Tuesday March 24th 2015. It will be there that the WA State Team will take shape for the National Final to be played at the beautiful Bonville Golf Resort.
